ABOUT B-PF
B-PF (Butler in the Peanut Factory) is a London-based photography studio and creative platform founded in 2018.
The name reflects both its origin as Butler in the Peanut Factory and an evolving idea of a “Beyond Platform” — a space that goes beyond a traditional studio.
ORIGINS & CONTEXT
B-PF originates from a small studio in Fish Island, within Hackney Wick’s industrial landscape.
Historically an industrial area, Hackney Wick and Fish Island have gradually evolved into one of London’s most recognised creative communities, where former industrial buildings have been repurposed by artists and creatives.
The original Butler in the Peanut Factory (B-PF Studio E3) / photography studio continues to operate within this context, maintaining a strong connection to the area’s independent and experimental culture.
GROWTH & COLLABORATION
B-PF has expanded with the addition of a second studio in Shoreditch, developed in collaboration with Swimmer Hair.
Located in London’s East End, the area is widely known as a hub for fashion creatives, where photographers, designers, and artists naturally gather.
This environment allows B-PF to operate within an active creative context, supporting fashion-focused production and collaboration.

Studio E3 / Fish Island, Hackney Wick
A compact, private studio designed for flexible shooting.
Ideal for:
• Private sessions
• Smaller productions
• Daylight and blackout setups

Studio E2 / Shoreditch, Hoxton
A larger-scale studio designed for fashion-focused production.
Located in a basement space, it is fully blackout and optimised for controlled lighting.
The ground floor is occupied by Swimmer Hair, which also functions as a soft reception point for the studio.
Ideal for:
• Fashion shoots
• Editorial and lookbook production
• Projects requiring precise lighting control
In addition, the space can function as a gallery or showroom environment, allowing projects to extend beyond production into presentation.
